Pakistan, China unite for regional peace amid rising tensions over India’s Pahalgam

ISLAMABAD, Apr 27,  Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar held a
telephonic conversation with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi during
which he briefed him on the current regional situation.

Dar rejected India’s unilateral and illegal actions as well as its
baseless propaganda.

He appreciated China’s consistent and unwavering support for Pakistan
and reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong commitment to its enduring friendship
and partnership with China.

Dar emphasized Pakistan’s desire to further expand bilateral cooperation
in all fields.

Both sides reiterated their resolve to promote mutual respect,
understanding, and to work together to maintain regional peace and
stability.

In a statement, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar says an effective
strategy has been adopted on the foreign front following the Pahalgam
incident.

Addressing a ceremony organized by the Old Ravian Association in Lahore,
he said Pakistan has given a befitting response to India’s actions.

Deputy Prime Minister said India’s announcement of terminating Indus
Waters Treaty is an irresponsible act.

Ishaq Dar said that no one can unilaterally suspend or amend the treaty
without mutual agreement.
